::: Hot Cat
“Hot Cat” is the Performance Series Project. Stressing experimentation and improvisation, it integrates music from different styles and artists from different backgrounds on the Earth into an organic whole.
“Hot Cat” is an open structure which allows each artist to freely contribute his or her ideas to add to the unique texture of the Hot Cat performance.
"Hot Cat" also integrates music with any kinds of Creative Activities such as Film, Butoh-Dance, Performance, Live-Painting and lots of more.

::: Motoya Kondo (Butoh-Dance)
Born in Nagoya Japan, dancer, movement director, and co-founder of Motimaru Dance Company. From 2005 he had been studying butoh with Yoshito Ohno, son of Kazuo Ohno and worked as his assistant.
After 2010 he has started field work researches of local and traditional dances in Japan, India, Nepal, Spain, and Bali, studied Balinese dance with Agun Anom Putra, I Made Djimat, and Ida Bagus Oka Wirjana, in search of universal principle of movements and dance.
Since 2008, he has been immersed in the practice and study of Eastern contemplative traditions, particularly following the Tibetan traditions, and bridging between contemporary art practices and the age old wisdom.
He has been performing and teaching in: Venezia Biennale 2010, 9th International Choreography Competition "No Ballet”, International Dance Festival Lucky Trimmer 2016, Hildesheim University, Leipzig University, Hasselt University, Academy of Media Arts Cologne, etc., Europe, Asia, Australia in over 50 cities.

Born in Tokyo shortly after WW2. Started in the 1970s as a keyboard player in various pop, rock, free-xx groups. Composer, improvisor for dance, butoh, theater, movie. Hobby programmer. Living in Berlin since 2012.

Cellist, Shakuhachi & Double Bass player, improviser & composer, he studied and graduated in France where he received "premier prix from conservatoire in Aix en Provence".
He has performed in National Centers for Music Creation like GMEM, for festivals and concerts in Europe, Asia, Middle east and US, recently in Festivals Apnées Grenoble, EMAF Osnabrück, Lacking Sound Festival, Taipei.
Based in Berlin, he collaborates with composers and artists from all disciplines, he can be heard from solo to large ensembles such as "Berlin Improvisers Orchestra" and "Grand 8" (Marseille).
His graphics and sound work series « Zeilen » is performed and exhibited in France and in Germany.

::: Shiomi Kawaguchi (Shamisen, Shinobue, Effect)
Since childhood in Tokyo, she has studied Tsugaru Shamisen and Minyo, traditional Japanese folk songs.
After years of traveling along the Silk Road with her Shamisen, she relocated to Berlin in 2017, where encounters with diverse musical communities transformed her practice beyond traditional forms. Deeply influenced by funeral ceremonies, local folk music, and the sounds of nature encountered throughout her travels, she creates immersive sonic journeys through Tsugaru Shamisen, voice, electronics, noise, and improvisation — balancing explosive intensity with moments of deep stillness.
She has performed internationally, including at the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in Oslo as Mitsune Trio.
She is a member of the all-female 'Shamisen Trio Mitsune' http://mitsune.de/ ,
the psychedelic folk band "Jaguar no me" http://www.jaguarnome.com/
and jazz band 'The Japs'

::: Fumio Okura (Violin, Planning & Structuring)
Studied Violin, Conducting and Musicology in Tokyo and in Berlin.
Studied Conducting further with Prof. Peter Eötvös and was also the Guest Student at Staatsoper Berlin. PhD-Student at FU-Berlin.
He also works as a Voice Actor for more than 100 Films.
In parallel with strong interest in Music and Theater he pursues the Sound Possibilities of the Instrumental Combinations with various styles and backgrounds.
His project "Hot Cat" tries the “Integrated Arts” with Experimental Music and Film, Live Painting, Performance or Butoh-Dance.
