Le MΣAL présente cette saison à la Jazz Station un cycle de quatre laboratoires performatifs publics croisant musique live (jazz, improvisation) et danse contemporaine.
Chaque performance est suivie d’une table ronde ouverte avec les artistes, les invité es, permettant un retour sur le processus de création et un échange avec le public.
Le fil narratif qui traverse l’ensemble du cycle est une réinterprétation contemporaine de La Conférence des Oiseaux (Farid al-Din Attar), abordée comme un parcours collectif et spirituel.
Chaque performance déploie un score, une partition collective mêlant consignes musicales, structures chorégraphiques et zones d’improvisation.

Cette 3e performance de la saison s’intitule “7” et s’inscrit dans notre travail autour de La Conférence des oiseaux. Nous explorons ici le passage des sept vallées, que nous abordons comme des vallées intérieures. Nous n'abordons pas le texte de manière littérale, c'est une interprétation, nous prenons ce qui nous intéresse mais cela nous permet d'avoir une entrée concrète. Cette étape du travail s’intéresse particulièrement aux circulations internes du corps et aux états de transformation.

Sur le plateau, un tracé au sol sera présent : des formes inspirées des solides platoniciens, constituant 7 bulles / planètes / espaces. Les interprètes pourront évoluer sur les contours, à l’intérieur ou à l’extérieur de ces formes.
Le travail du mouvement s’appuie sur des phrasés issus de Laban et sur des imaginaires de circulation énergétique (les 7 chakras, les trajets méridiens). Les temporalités seront plutôt spiralées et sphériques.

This season, MΣAL presents a series of four public performance workshops at the Jazz Station, blending live music (jazz, improvisation) with contemporary dance.
Each performance is followed by an open discussion with the artists and guests, providing an opportunity to reflect on the creative process and engage with the audience.
The narrative thread running through the entire series is a contemporary reinterpretation of The Conference of the Birds (Farid al-Din Attar), approached as a collective and spiritual journey.
Each performance unfolds a score, a collective score blending musical instructions, choreographic structures and areas of improvisation.

This third performance of the season is entitled “7” and forms part of our work on The Conference of the Birds. Here we explore the passage through the seven valleys, which we approach as inner valleys. We do not take the text literally; it is an interpretation. We take what interests us, but this allows us a concrete point of entry. This stage of the work focuses particularly on the body’s internal circulations and states of transformation.

On stage, a floor plan will be present: shapes inspired by Platonic solids, forming 7 bubbles / planets / spaces. The performers will be able to move along the contours, inside or outside these shapes.
The movement work is based on phrasing derived from Laban and on concepts of energy flow (the 7 chakras, meridian pathways). The temporalities will be predominantly spiral and spherical.
