John Bisset was born in Manchester in 1960 and has lived in London since 1980. As a lapsteel guitarist he is known for his inventive use of the instrument - using physical objects to prepare and expand the sonic and textural range. In his solo work he interacts with semi-random tunings, finding what they have to offer. Over the past decades he has performed with most of the leading players of Improvised music, at Festivals and concerts across Europe, with a vast catalogue of releases dating from 1979. Current groups include: TheThreeFeet, Verbo i Voda, the London Improvisers Orchestra, and duos with George Garford, Olga Ksendzovska, Julia Brüssel and Dan Johnson.

Anaïs Tuerlinckx moved to Berlin in 2008. Fascinated by the city and its possibilities, the Berlin-based Anaïs Tuerlinckx has found the perfect playground for free improvised music, noise music, and performances of all genres. Her early fascination with extended techniques and free improvisation on the piano developed already in her childhood. Her focus lies on the interplay of sound textures and the intensity of the moments, through which she continuously seeks to push the boundaries of the instrument.

Burkhard Beins has been living in Berlin since 1995 and works as a composer-performer in the field of experimental music and sound art. Renowned for his individually developed playing techniques, he is considered a highly influential percussionist. In addition, he works with analog live electronics, plays bass guitar, and has developed various sound installations. Since the late 1980s, Beins has performed as a soloist or as a member of various ensembles at international festivals and concert venues across Europe, America, Australia, and Asia. To date, more than 70 CDs and LPs featuring his work have been released.

Mizuki Ishikawa, born in Osaka, Japan is a Berlin-based improviser and sound artist. In her improvisations with objects and DIY electronics, she manipulates the acoustic environment of a space using everyday objects and feedback techniques, while simultaneously exploring the conditions of performance through simple gestures and ordinary activities. Through improvisation, Mizuki aims to integrate the space, the audience, herself and time into a cohesive experience.
