MARIA CHAVEZ (Nueva York - giraplatos) con JORDI WHEELER (Nueva York - Valencia - instrumentos múltiples) Tocan en dúo desde 2015 y han presentado su trabajo en varios lugares en Estados Unidos y Europa. Trabajan en base a la escucha activa con una configuración de instrumentos (giraplatos múltiples, piano, guitarra, electrónica, grabaciones de campo) que permite al presente dictar el contenido de cada pieza. Su primer EP, The Kitchen Sessions: 1-5 salió en 2021 en el sello Takuroku, del londinense Café Oto y se grabó como parte de una residencia artística en The Kitchen (Nueva York). Esta será su segunda colaboración en CRUCE. SEGUIDOS POR

BLANCA REGINA (Londres - voz, laptop, objetos, performance) con MATTHIAS KISPERT (Londres - laptop) y TOMI OSUNA (Madrid - experimental turntable) Blanca y Matthias han colaborado en Londres durante varios años en temas de performance de arte sonoro, audiovisual y activismo Fundaron Material Studies en 2012  ‘ Exploraciones colectivas improvisadas con los sonidos dentro del material, es decir: ‘playful collective improvised explorations of the sounds within matter’ https://whiteemotion.com/project/material-studies Y Blanca y Tomi formaron Mademotion en Madrid en 2010 desarrollando entre otros proyectos impro- performance y sucedáneos entre otras colaboraciones artísticas y luego continuaron colaborando en el proyecto Unpredictable Series

LAS ORILLAS DEL CIERVO - La Corrala de Santiago, Granada

 

La exposición “Las orillas del ciervo” de Fernando Jaén y Marcello Magnato llega a su fin. Estará abierta hasta el próximo 14 de septiembre, en la Corrala de Santiago (Granada). Como acto de clausura, este viernes 8 de septiembre, a las 20 horas, tendremos un momento muy especial. El músico A.L. Guillén  pondrá música a esta exposición para permitir a los asistentes una experiencia inmersiva en la obra conjunta pictórica y poética. La entrada es libre hasta completar aforo.

Javier Areal Vélez (Buenos Aires - electroacústica) Nacido y radicado en Buenos Aires, Javier improvisa de forma sorprendentemente rítmica con materiales sonoros de muy variada procedencia, enfatizando más la tímbrica y el ritmo que otros parámetros formales más convencionales. Ha trabajo con figuras claves de la libre improvisación, como Heiner Goebbels, Audrey Chen o Axel Dörner, en giras por las Américas, Europa y Japón. Ésta será su primera visita a CRUCE.

Joel Grip pushes the act of being in between radical and familiar rooms of thought and encounter. In the making of images (let them be musical or drawn) he exerts a continuous flow of letting go allowing for the mysteries of love, swing and being to appear at the foot of the face of the other. 

Joel has been drawing/painting his whole life as a way of gesticulating movement and language and to connect and communicate emotion. Many of his images have been used for announcing concerts and recordings (Au Topsi Pohl, Umlaut Records, Hagenfesten, Klub Demboh…). “At the foot of a face” is his first exhibition. You’ll see a selection of recent year’s oil painting and drawings. The section bears in mind and honors the recently passed away musician, artist and writer Tristan Honsinger. As a bassist, Joel Grip is active in groups reimagining and celebrating collective music: [ahmed], Vaka, [ism], Oùat, Klub Demboh, Sapat, and small ensembles with Sven-Åke Johansson.
