Born of the sessions of Kogoba Basigui, the large ensemble that brings together the respective orchestras of Eve Risser and Naïny Diabaté, Anw Be Yonbolo brings the two musicians together. In Mali, Anw Be Yonbolo is a formula for support between human beings. "We're together", even in pairs! The pianist composes, the singer-guitarist arranges and improvises, and between them they deliver a musical conversation that's committed, joyful and utterly unclassifiable. A music where West African and European techniques and traditions meet. A dialogue underpinned by a vibrant desire to speak up for women's voices and children's rights. A duo free and solar, committed and magnificent.
