ABEEKU is the latest facet of the vast artistic expression of composer and performer David Boykin. Its a combination of electro soul, golden era hip hop production, and spiritual jazz into a sensuous blend of Afro-electronic bliss; utilizing vocals, synthesizers, digital samplers, electronic drums, key boards, and bass.

The lineup features: Jon-Edward Stokes on bass; Crai’Sean George on Keyboards; and David Boykin on Drum Machines, Digital Samplers, Synthesizer, Saxophone, and Vocals.

inga is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, & birthworker born & raised in southwest Michigan, with roots in Rwanda, now based in Chicago. Her work lives at the intersection of vulnerability, memory, & spirituality—a space she calls “where art meets ritual.” Through music, visual storytelling, & community-centered practice, she creates immersive experiences rooted in introspection & care.

A student of The Soulquarians, inga blends hip hop, soul, & ancestral influence into a sound that feels both intimate & expansive. Self described as the Boom Baptist, she channels emotion, rhythm, & lineage into music that explores love, longing, identity, & divine alignment—each song unfolding like a confession, a prayer, or a portal.

Noch drei Tage bis zum spektakulären Ende der Spielzeit I/2026 der Jazz-Fabrik Rüsselsheim!

Am Donnerstag, 7. Mai, erwarten wir vier Musiker aus vier Ländern auf vier Kontinenten. Gefunden haben sie sich in der wilden Jazz-Szene Berlins, von wo aus sie zu einem ihrer raren Gastspiele außerhalb der Hauptstadt nach Rüsselsheim anreisen werden. Die Rede ist vom BRAD HENKEL QUARTET mit Brad Henkel (Trompete/USA), Rieko Okuda (Piano/Japan), Isabel Rößler (Kontrabass/Deutschland) und Samuel Hall (Schlagzeug/Australien).

These outstanding musicians hardly need any introduction; we are very happy 

that pianist Kaja Draksler will perform tonight, who has been such a prominent 

figure in the Amsterdam scene for many years, before moving to Denmark & 

Slovenia. 

She will play with two other driving forces of the Amsterdam and international scene: 

guitarist Andy Moor (Dog Faced Hermans, the Ex) and drummer Frank Rosaly

 (Mestizx, Awichas, Ruidoscuro).

Marcus Wärnheim solo

Marcus Wärnheim is a Swedish alto saxophonist, also based in Amsterdam and 

active as a performer in the local and international underground. In his solo work, 

he dives into the imperfections and irregularities of the (extended) saxophone in 

dialogue with his breathing body.

Adi Wolf stammt ursprünglich von den Bermudainseln.
Im Jahr 1996 zog sie nach London, um an der Middlesex University zu studieren. Ihren Bachelor of Arts der darstellenden Künste (Drama) bestand sie 1999 mit Ehrenauszeichnung. In London steht sie beim Plattenlabel Wildlife Records unter Vertrag. Neben Musicals gibt Adi Wolf auch viele eigene Konzerte, national wie international.

Die Musik war schon immer ein Teil von ihm. Volkan Baydar sang schon, bevor er überhaupt sprechen konnte. Auch seinen Eltern ist das nicht entgangen, die immer versuchten, ihm und seinem Bruder Tayfun viel zu ermöglichen, So bekam er als Teenager in den 80ern einen ersten Vierspurrekorder, um seine ersten eigenen Songs festhalten zu können – inspiriert von Soul-Größen wie Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson und Terence Trent D’Arby.

Mit 20 lernte er dann seinen Orange Blue-Partner Vince Bahrdt über eine Anzeige kennen und der Rest ist Geschichte: Nach einem Ausflug an der Stage School Hamburg, einem Schauspielstudium in New York und seiner ersten Hauptrolle im Musical „Pico“ kam 2000 schließlich der große Durchbruch mit Orange Blue. Seinen musikalischen Wurzeln ist er dabei immer treu geblieben.

"With Hawking Extended the two Berlin based musicians Ernst Bier & Ignaz Schick present their duo Hawking (formed in 2013) in addition with the Munich based composer, guitarist and live-electronics player Gunnar Geisse. While Hawking performed entirely with live-electronic instruments – in Hawking Extended however additionally to the three different electronic set-ups the musicians also make use of their original acoustic instruments. The purely acoustic setting (saxophone, guitar, drums) is mirrored with the entire electronic display (Wave Drum/Electronics, Laptop, Turntable). The music consciously uses the tension between acoustic free improvisation, electro-acoustic/electronic music, noise and contemporary jazz and continuously oscillates between those different stylistic poles.

Hawking Extended are building obscure sculptural sound objects, risky, sometimes fragile and often eclectic. They allow themselves to touch musical taboos and walk on the thin line between „Kitsch “, sharp electronics and refreshing anti-preset-music often resulting in a music which sounds like an acoustic science fiction film. A year after their first concerts in trio in 2017, the three spent some time in the luxurious recording studio Bonello in Berlin and are now presenting the exciting results of this seance with this CD. A music that picks up on many different elements and influences from past and current waves & inspirations. Each of the three players being an idiosyncrat of their own on their chosen instruments, each of them have created their own personal language and stylistic field. Adding this three unique characters creates an outstanding collage of musical layers, unpredictable and surprising."

Cruce presenta otra sesión de mano de dos de los improvisadores más solventes de América Latina coinciden de pura chiripa en Madrid, pero no es la primera vez que se encuentran en un mismo país de casualidad. Han tocado juntos en Bogotá, en Matik-Matik, la meca de la libre improvisación colombiana, y también, el año siguiente, en Ciudad de México durante el gran simposio sobre la libre improvisación organizado por 17 Instituto de Estudios Críticos. Ahora les tenemos aquí en Madrid. Motivo de gran satisfacción y más aún pudiéndoles escucharles en diálogo con Ricardo Tejero, uno de los improvisadores más personales y polifacéticos de Madrid.
