COLIN WEBSTER - MATTHEW GRIGG - DÜSSELDORF (GERMANY)

Ackerstr.67, 40233 Düssel, Germany

10-10-26  2O:OO H
Saxophonist Colin Webster (London) and guitarist Matthew Grigg (Bristol) create relentless abstract improvisations that push the boundaries of what a duo can do. They combine elements of noise, free jazz, and electronics in ways that are both overwhelming and subtle.
In 2022 they released their debut album 'Good To Be Back In Reality' on New Wave of Jazz.
Webster & Grigg “connect at the level of dramatic subtleties, weaving a self-winding narrative from particles of broken glass… and chase scraps of expression… dark and ambiguous, but saturated with twisting melodies.” - Spontaneous Music Tribune.

KENJI TAKAGI- PRAHA (CZ)

KENJI TAKAGI (dlouhodobá spolupráce s Pinou Bausch, ImpulsTanz teacher)

(English below)

Pohyb a tanec, zvuk a slova v procesu

Jak může zvuk nebo jazyk inspirovat pohyb? A jak spolu pohyb, zvuk a slova koexistují? Cílem tohoto workshopu je zkoumat obě tyto otázky.

Slova a zvuky mohou pohyb spouštět, inspirovat.

KENJI TAKAGI (long-term cooperation with Pina Bausch, ImpulsTanz teacher)

Movement and Dance, Sound and Words in process

How can sound or language inspire movement? And how do movement, sound and words co-exist? The aim of this workshop is to explore both questions.

Words and sounds can trigger movement. But they can also serve as guidelines when further examining specific qualities or states in the creation of movement. And they can offer imagery and associations that add to a poetic quality of a situation.

I will propose tasks that are meant to encourage each participant's individual research. Furthermore, I would like to address the question how to create as a group in an improvisation. What kind of attentiveness to the situation is necessary? How, as an individual, can one influence the collective to create significance?

Participants are invited to contribute with movement as well as with their voice. Everybody who is interested is welcome.

For anyone involved in dance, physical movement and acting of any kind and level. Experience with improvisation is welcome, but not necessary. The number of participants is limited, please register in advance.

THE CLIFFHANGER TRIO- KöLN, MUENSTER, BERLIN

3.10.2026, 20:00 LOFT Köln

4.10.2026 C.U.B.A. Muenster

05.10.2026, 20:30 Kuehlspot Social Club Berlin

The Cliffhanger Trio
Ignaz Schick (alto sax)
Ingebrigt Håker Flaten (double bass)
Oliver Steidle (drums)
