Seit Ende der 1980er Jahren steht das autonome Kunst Projekt für einen experimentellen, geräuschhaften Ansatz, mit ekstatischer Voice-Performance des Masterminds Klaus-Peter John.
Im Laufe der Jahre nahm The Oval Language an einer Reihe von Ausstellungen, Happenings/Performances teil und kreierte verschiedene Installationen und unzählige Veröffentlichungen.
Momentan sind neben Klaus-Peter John, Katja John und Carsten Busse beteiligt.
