Ensemble Discoveries – Autumn Edition: Into the Depths
A Vibro-Truck recently appeared in the Lichtenberg area, used by specialists to explore geothermal energy sources beneath the ground. Geothermal energy is a renewable and environmentally friendly resource that may play an important role in our future energy systems. The truck’s vibrations create images of the Earth’s subsurface, revealing layers of rock and other geological structures.
Inspired by this process, Ensemble Discoveries presents Into the Depths — an evening of improvised music featuring five musicians who perform on instruments rich in low frequencies. Together, they explore sound, resonance, and the physical experience of vibration.
